        Excellent Service Virtually 卓越服务 远程表扬 POPULAR celebrates the achievements of 21 staff for winning at the first ever virtual Excellent Service Award in Singapore! 新加坡大众的21名同仁, 在全国卓越服务奖的首次 线上典礼荣获表彰, 值得庆贺! Everyone at Popular Singapore knows best service to our customers. This is why Popular Singapore runs a monthly in-house service award to reward staff who go out of their way to ensure our customers enjoy a pleasant shopping experience at POPULAR. Dubbed the POPULAR Service Award, the nominated staff not only get to win POPULAR gift vouchers, but also receive a commendation letter in recognition of their efforts. Furthermore, these winners are nominated to represent POPULAR at the Excellent Service Award (EXSA), a national award launched in 1994 to recognise service staff in Singapore who have “gone beyond the call of duty in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for customers”. Commitment to Service Excellence Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, EXSA 2020 was conducted virtually. Although this may seem to lack a personal touch, the virtual EXSA 2020 brought new experiences for the 21 nominees representing POPULAR. Our nominees attended the 19 online EXSA workshops at the “Aladdin-5” meeting room from 31 August 2020 to 7 October 2020. On 16 December 2020, the virtual EXSA presentation ceremony was streamed live via the Singapore Retailers Association’s Facebook to celebrate the achievements of all 3,739 EXSA recipients who came from 121 local retail organisations.
