A Different Reunion Celebration 云年会 庆团圆 In response to the pandemic, Popular Guangzhou moved their annual gathering online to continue celebrating the joy of reunion. 大众集团广州分公司以直播方式举行年会，传统活动温暖延续。 In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the world. After more than a year of hard work, the situation has been brought under control and the lives of many have started to return to normalcy. With the arrival of the Spring Festival of the Year of the Ox in 2021, Popular Guangzhou bade farewell to 2020 and welcomed the new year by organising an annual gathering with a difference. Maintaining Tradition with a Novel Idea A joyous event that every staff looks forward to eagerly, Popular Guangzhou’s annual reunion is one occasion that even the senior management will not miss. However, as the risk of infection was still a concern, Popular Guangzhou decided to organise a virtual annual event instead, in line with the government’s call for less travel and fewer gatherings. This new approach kept the tradition of reunion alive through the live broadcast of staff from within China, as well as those based overseas, allowing everyone to come together online to share the festive joy.
