POPULAR’s distribution channels and its extensive retail network complements each other.
In 1999, the POPULAR Group set up a purchasing office in Taiwan, which is in charge of purchasing Chinese books for Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. With the expansion of business, the POPULAR Book Company Ltd was established in 2003 as a subsidiary. The main areas of operation for POPULAR Taiwan include purchasing Traditional Chinese Taiwanese books, making recommendations of suitable titles for adaptation into Simplified Chinese, importing different kinds of suitable products for sale in the bookstores, and developing its role as the official distributor for the titles of Novum Organum.
In 2005, POPULAR’s subsidiary, Novum Organum Publishing House Pte Ltd, tapped on the massive retail network to expand its distribution business, focusing on the book markets in Singapore and Malaysia.
