By Eva Wang (Taiwan) 文:王淑真(台湾) A Banquet to Celebrate Our Reunion 尾牙盛宴庆团圆 Our colleague from Popular Taiwan shares the warmth and surprises of their annual year-end dinner in 2022! 台湾大众同仁分享尾牙宴的点滴与惊喜! Held on 14 January 2022 at the Chinese Starting punctually at 6pm, our restaurant Jia Yan on the second floor of the Caesar Metro Taipei, the year-end dinner this year was my 11th with Popular Taiwan. Everyone arrived at the restaurant early, as this gathering was one to be cherished. It was an occasion for all Popular Taiwan staff to finally get together after another challenging year that had kept everyone apart for over 300 days. My 10-year Long Service Award Everyone spent this lively occasion catching up with one another as the dishes were served. All of a sudden, Popular Taiwan’s Human Resources Manager, Sammi Wu, took to the stage and called out my name. I was still trying to figure out what was happening when she presented my 10-year Long Service Award to me! The certificate recognises my 3,650 days in POPULAR, and I am grateful for the assistance from all my colleagues and the support from my supervisors along the way. I would also like to give a special shout-out to all the overseas colleagues that I have had the pleasure of working with. sumptuous dinner featured Chinese cuisine served in individual portions. The exquisitely presented dishes not only warmed up everyone, they brought warmth to our hearts too. The ambience was fantastic as we enjoyed the delicious food together with our colleagues, with whom we spent up to 10 hours every working day! Just like the name of the restaurant (“family banquet”) implied, we were all gathered for our own reunion dinner. 30 - popularnews 139
