      By Popular News Editorial Team 文:《大众资讯》编辑室  Showcasing the Spirit 圣诞装饰大赛: 大 精神,团结一心              The winning team from Popular Malaysia with their unique Christmas tree 本次大赛获胜的马来西亚大众团队与独树一帜的圣诞树作品合影 Shortly after Christmas Day in 2019, Popular Holdings Limited’s Group CEO, Mr Chou Cheng Ngok, proposed an annual Christmas decoration competition among POPULAR’s three regional headquarters in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong to bring the joy of Christmas to everyone through a display of the POPULAR spirit. To make the competition more challenging, each office was given a budget equivalent to RM2,000, and the 4 - popularnews 133 winner would be rewarded with the same amount in prize money. The participating offices would be judged on their creativity, cost effectiveness and overall look by six judges – Mr Chou, Popular Malaysia’s Executive Director Ms Lim Lee Ngoh, CEO of Popular Greater China Mr Ponch Poon, as well as the three heads of Human Resources in the three offices. A Christmas Narrative to Showcase the POPULAR Spirit “POP! POP! POP! Christmas with POPULAR!” was the main theme proposed by Popular Malaysia, the organiser of the inaugural edition. Inspired by Santa Claus’s classic greeting of “HO! HO! HO! Merry Christmas!”, each “POP” represented one of the three participants, and “Christmas with POPULAR” signified the POPULAR family coming
